Overview
Robin is a Legendary rarity utility pet in Grow a Garden 2 with an unusual trade-off ability: it flies around the owner's garden eating ripe fruit and occasionally dropping seeds in return.
Robin consumes crops the player could otherwise sell, but the seeds it drops can be replanted. Whether Robin drops seeds matching the crops it consumed, random seeds, or potentially rare seeds is not yet documented. At 75,000 Sheckles and with a 2.86% spawn chance, Robin is one of the more accessible Legendary pets. Whether Robin's seed drops make it net-positive compared to simply selling the consumed crops depends on the quality of those seeds.
How to get the Robin pet
Robin hatches from the Common Egg. It can also be purchased for 75,000 Sheckles.
Is Robin good for utility?
Robin is a utility pet. Utility pets provide passive bonuses — to movement speed, growth rate, vision, or harvest automation — that benefit your daily farming routine.
Other utility pets in the database include Deer (Rare, 50,000 Sheckles), Frog (Common, 10,000 Sheckles), Owl (Uncommon, 25,000 Sheckles), Bunny (Common, 20,000 Sheckles), Golden Dragonfly (Mythic, 9,000,000 Sheckles), Monkey (Mythic, 1,000,000 Sheckles), and Unicorn (Mythic, 12,000,000 Sheckles).
Big and Huge Robin in GAG2
Robin can rarely spawn with a pet mutation. Grow a Garden 2 has two pet mutations — Big Robin and Huge Robin — a rare appearance change that boosts the pet's effect. The Big mutation roughly doubles a pet's passive boost (for example a normal Bunny gives +5 speed, a Big Bunny +10), and Huge is even rarer. The exact spawn odds are very low and unconfirmed, and the exact Huge Robin values are TBA.
